The role is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with project quality requirements, specifications, and international standards. The QA/QC Engineer will work closely with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to monitor, inspect, and control construction quality throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities Implement, monitor, and maintain the project's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with WSP and client requirements. Review and approve contractors' quality documents, including ITPs, method statements, checklists, and material submittals. Conduct site inspections and surveillance to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. Raise and follow up on non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions. Ensure proper documentation and traceability of inspections, test results, and quality records. Monitor materials testing, site workmanship, and ensure conformity to approved designs and standards. Support the Resident Engineer in quality-related matters, including audits and progress reviews. Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to resolve quality issues in a timely manner. Participate in final inspections, snagging, and handover processes to verify compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 8+ years of experience, with at least 3-5 years in infrastructure supervision projects in the Middle East. Strong knowledge of QA/QC practices, international standards, and specifications (ISO 9001, ASTM, ACI, BS/EN, etc.). Experience in roadworks, bridges, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred. Excellent report writing, inspection, and documentation skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. Membership of professional bodies (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) is an advantage.
