Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Quality Management & Leadership

  • Lead and manage all QA/QC activities for the project, ensuring compliance with ADNOC requirements, project specifications, and international standards.

  • Establish, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 and project contractual requirements.

  • Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and ensure its effective execution throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage and supervise a multi-disciplinary QA/QC team, including inspectors and engineers across Mechanical, Civil, and E&I works.

  • Act as the primary quality interface with the client, consultants, subcontractors, and third-party inspection agencies.

  • Ensure quality objectives and KPIs are achieved and aligned with project deliverables.


Quality Planning & Documentation

  • Prepare, review, and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for all phases of the project including fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning.

  • Review and approve method statements, quality procedures, welding procedures (WPS/PQR), material submittals, and vendor quality documentation.

  • Ensure preparation and control of quality procedures, inspection checklists, test reports, and quality documentation.

  • Implement effective document control and record management systems to maintain traceability of quality records.

  • Inspection & Testing Oversight

  • Oversee all inspection and testing activities for Mechanical, Civil, Structural, and Electrical & Instrumentation works.

  • Ensure inspections are carried out in accordance with approved ITPs, project specifications, and international codes.

  • Supervise and coordinate welding inspections, NDT activities, hydrostatic testing, pressure testing, coating inspections, electrical testing, and instrument calibration.

  • Ensure proper implementation of hold points, witness points, and surveillance activities as per approved inspection plans.


Compliance & Quality Audits

  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international codes such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, IEC, and AWS.

  • Plan and conduct internal quality audits and subcontractor/vendor audits to verify compliance with the project quality management system.

  • Participate in client audits and regulatory inspections and ensure timely closure of audit findings.


Non-Conformance Management

  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure proper investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

  • Monitor and track quality issues, punch list items, and deviations, ensuring timely resolution and close-out.

  • Ensure lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives are implemented.


Vendor & Subcontractor Quality Management

  • Review and approve vendor quality documents, inspection reports, and material certification packages.

  • Coordinate and monitor vendor inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and site acceptance tests (SAT).

  • Ensure subcontractors adhere to project quality requirements, procedures, and inspection protocols.


Reporting & Project Coordination

  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly quality reports, including inspection statistics, NCR trends, and audit findings.

  • Monitor and report quality performance metrics and KPIs to project management.

  • Participate in project progress meetings, quality review meetings, and client coordination meetings.

  • Provide technical advice and support to project teams regarding quality-related matters and compliance requirements.


Team Management & Training

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the QA/QC team, ensuring effective coordination among inspectors and engineers.

  • Provide training and awareness sessions to project personnel on quality procedures, standards, and best practices.

  • Promote a quality culture across all project departments to ensure continuous improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • 5–8 years of QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas projects, preferably on ADNOC or EPC projects.

  • B gas grade level II

  • ADNOC approval is mandatory.

  • CSWIP Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required.

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

  • Experience in preparation of Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures.

  • Strong understanding of international standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, AWS, and IEC.

  • Experience supervising multi-discipline QA/QC teams (Mechanical, Civil, and E&I).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.

  • Experience in EPC Oil & Gas construction projects.

  • Knowledge of welding inspection, NDT methods, civil structural inspection, and electrical/instrument testing.

  • Experience with vendor inspection and subcontractor quality management.
