Participates actively in the leadership of the Business Unit and acts as advisor to the General Manager on QA/QC related issues: Attends Business Unit senior management meetings and project reviews. Introduces/develops/assures the implementation of procedures, methods and policies to reduce cost and enhance the productivity and efficiency of the QA/QC division.

Prepares division's yearly budget, tracks expenses on regular basis and makes pro-active corrections when needed.

Operational

Provide technical guidance/solutions for the challenges during the execution of the project.

Attend the project site daily to oversee ongoing construction activities. Monitor and control quality of work, support execution team and the sub-contractors in achieving the Project Quality requirements.

Lead all project meeting related to QA/QC. Conduct Quality site walks with Execution team/sub-contractors/consultants

Establish and maintain Project Quality Plan defining/detailing the Procedures/process in compliance with project specification and Amana Quality management system

Implement and drive quality culture programs within the project, ensuring continuous quality improvement across all project activities.

Oversee internal Quality Control inspections, ensuring that all site activities and materials are inspected prior to consultant/client inspections.

Lead coordination with Project team, Subcontractors, Testing Lab, and Consultants to conduct work inspections & material inspections as per the approved ITP.

Ensure effective site surveillance are done to identify and report any Non-conformances (NCR) and ensure corrective actions are taken, root causes are analyzed and preventive actions are well-placed and communicated.

Oversee the timely closure of all NCRs, ensuring the project team performs effective root cause analysis and implements corrective and preventive actions across the project.

Oversee and coordinate all work inspections with the authority on the project, ensuring they align with project schedules and standards.

Review and approve all QA/QC documentation to ensure that it is in compliance with regulatory standards, contract requirements, and industry best practices. Maintain oversight of the documentation archiving system.

Manage and oversee all quality-related communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project quality objectives.

Ensure logs for inspections, method statements, and test reports are regularly maintained and analyzed to support project quality management.

Lead detailed trend analysis and root cause investigations for recurring quality problems. Develop visual tools like dashboards and statistical reports to monitor KPIs and quality trends.

Study the project documents including all drawings, details, specifications, Material submittals, RFI, Contract documents, PTCs , Value Engineering documents etc.

Oversee subcontractor inspections and audits. Report to management on any poor quality performance and recommend contractual actions if necessary. Ensure quality issues are communicated effectively.

Oversee the preparation and approval process of method statements and ITPs. Ensure that the quality team enforces compliance on site and regularly audits site activities for adherence to approved documents.

Ensure staff, subcontractors, and suppliers receive proper training on execution methodologies and authority requirements, and that inspection and test stages are clear to all teams.

Oversee the integration of digital quality management systems (e.g., Kairnial, Procore, BIM 360) and ensure all teams are trained in using digital tools for inspections, reports, and data collection. Facilitate the automation of key quality processes and workflows.

Oversee the inspection process at subcontractor factories/fabrication yards. Ensure that inspection schedules are coordinated with the project team, consultants, and subcontractors. Lead high-level factory visits for critical inspections.

Oversee the entire process of third-party testing coordination and ensure that testing activities comply with contract specifications. Ensure test results are properly verified and submitted to the consultant on time.

Lead risk identification activities, conducting comprehensive reviews of project documents, processes, and site conditions. Work closely with the project management team to design and implement effective mitigation measures for identified risks. Continuously track risks, adjusting mitigation strategies as necessary, and ensure early detection of any potential quality issues.

Drive the development and execution of comprehensive process improvement strategies across projects. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implement advanced quality management methodologies, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Coordinate with stakeholders to review and approve as-built drawings. Address questions or concerns related to the accuracy and completeness of the drawings.

Coordinate with Project team, subcontractors and Consultants and ensure the snagging /de-snagging are as per project schedule.

Coordinate with Project team, subcontractors and Consultants for closeout documentation/deliverables including identification of closeout requirements, preparation, submission and approval from consultant.

Complete all project deliverables as per the plan, ensuring all documentation is accurate and handed over to the client and maintenance team on time.

Plan and conduct regular inspections and audits in projects to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications and review Quality performance metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
