Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The QA/QC Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical works are executed in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable quality standards, while carrying out inspections and testing activities to ensure proper installation, quality control, and successful project delivery.

Key Accountabilities

The position involves:

  • Inspect all mechanical works on site to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.
  • Carry out inspections for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and drainage systems during installation, testing, and commissioning stages.
  • Verify materials delivered on site against approved material submittals and project requirements.
  • Review and ensure compliance of shop drawings, method statements, and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Identify, report, and follow up on non-conformance (NCR) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants during inspections and quality checks.
  • Ensure proper execution of testing and commissioning activities for all mechanical systems.
  • Maintain accurate QA/QC records, inspection reports, and project documentation.
  • Support final inspections, snagging, and handover activities to ensure smooth project completion.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 8 years of experience in QA/QC Mechanical inspection (mandatory).
  • Proven experience in residential and hospitality projects (essential).
  • Experience in site inspections, testing & commissioning (T&C) activities
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and quality documentation
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with international standards and codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO, etc.).
  • Good coordination and communication skills with consultants and site teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities.
  • Attention to detail and strong technical reporting skills.
