Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Oversee all quality assurance and control activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review, monitor, and verify inspection and testing procedures for MEP installations to ensure alignment with project specifications and industry codes.
- Witness and approve pre-commissioning, commissioning, and functional testing procedures for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Ensure compliance with international standards, local regulations, and client requirements for all MEP works.
- Coordinate with design consultants, construction teams, and subcontractors to identify and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify proper installation and performance of MEP systems.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and records of all QA/QC processes, including inspection reports, testing data, and commissioning checklists.
- Support handover processes by ensuring all MEP QA/QC deliverables are completed and accepted by relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in QA/QC roles, with at least 4 years focused specifically on MEP systems in large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of MEP requirements for high-end hotel or mixed-use developments.
- Proven experience in the inspection, testing, and commissioning of complex MEP systems including HVAC, power distribution, lighting, water supply, and drainage.
- Familiarity with international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, and local building codes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong skills in technical documentation and reporting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants in a fast-paced project environment.
