Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Task Description:
- The Supervisor is responsible to supervise, direct, assist and assure the completion of housekeeping tasks assigned to attendants in guest rooms and corridors as per resort standards.
- To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag always as per company policy
- To conduct the daily briefing for colleagues in selected areas
- To attend daily briefing with Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Manager ensuring a complete understanding of tasks for self and team members
- To champion the company values and objectives such as Colleague Engagement Survey and FORBES 5 Star Classification
- To supervise and coordinate all colleagues ensuring guests receive prompt and courteous service and all areas of the operation are running as per resort standard procedures and policies
- To supervise and inspect guest rooms, corridors, pantry, staircase and lift landings as per resort standards
- To supervise deep cleaning and special task schedules, ensuring all rooms and floor areas are cleaned as per resort standards
- To supervise and reports to the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Manager regarding the upkeep of furnishings, facilities, and equipment
- To supervise the team attends to duty in proper uniform, on time and well groomed
- To identify and ensure highest possible standard of cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and corridors
- To monitor and ensure housekeeping procedures are kept updated and in accordance with health and safety policies for personnel and guests
- To be fully trained in all housekeeping tasks and procedures, being able to assist Housemen and Guest room valets with any requirements
- To have full knowledge of resort layout of guest rooms, corridors, storage space and back of house areas
- To ensure all guest requirements are adhered to as per resort standards
- To monitors and maintains the supplies in the pantries on guest floors
- To communicate and report correctly all issues, incidents or malfunctions as per resort standards
- To be flexible in working hours and scheduling as per resort requirements
- To have full knowledge of Guest Room Attendant and Supervisor task allocation
- To maintain the records of all the missing/broken inventory items in guest rooms and other allocated areas
- To conduct the monthly project in the guest rooms and suites and maintain proper update on regularly in the project link
- Meeting guests to provide personalized service and solicit feedback
- To meet guests to address any guest grievances and resolve them efficiently. Follows through on every complaint received, to determine the root cause and ensures that recurrences are avoided
- To carry out any other job-related duties as requested by the department
- To be aware of every standard that is required as per FORBES 5star classification guide and to ensure strict implementation of the standards in all areas
- To carry out good communication with team members, ensuring performance is effectively managed
- To identify the low performance colleagues and provide all the necessary training to develop them
- To supervise training needs within the department and carry out on-the-job training when required
- To be fully trained on resort emergency procedures and first aid as per resort standards
- To supervise the new joiners and low performers and ensure that their performance details are updated in performance link
- To conduct discipline and coach colleagues when necessary
- To update communication logs and briefs team to ensure every team member is aware of demanding guests/ high attention guests
- To conduct training and regular inspections based on the Forbes checklists to ensure team is in line with the requirements and is always striving for perfection
- To supervise usage of guest room supplies and amenities are at a realistic cost
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Graduating in Hotel Management/ High school diploma would be advantageous
- Fluent in English Verbal, written and reading
- Previous 5* experience in similar position would be advantageous
- Computer literate
- Strong administrative abilities and Leadership skills
- Ability to have a strong customer focus
- Experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
