Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The QA Tester will support quality assurance efforts across multiple web applications and digital products. This role requires strong organization, familiarity with testing tools, and the ability to test complex systems without coding.

The QA Tester will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and design teams to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to requirements across software releases.

Key Responsibilities

Functional, Regression, and Exploratory Testing

  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across multiple web applications and products.

  • Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test plans, and test suites to ensure full coverage.

Bug Tracking and Defect Management

  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools such as Jira.

  • Validate fixes and perform re-testing to ensure defect resolution and prevent regressions.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to clarify requirements and ensure product quality.

  • Provide clear reporting on test progress, coverage, and results to relevant stakeholders.

Automation Support (No Coding Required)

  • Assist with automation efforts by maintaining and executing automated test scripts.

  • Apply technical understanding of automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress (coding not required).

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve QA processes and enhance overall product quality.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience on a QA or software testing team.

  • Hands-on experience testing web applications, including UI/UX validation.

  • Experience writing and executing test cases and test scripts.

  • Experience with bug-tracking tools such as Jira or similar.

  • Familiarity with automated testing concepts and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.

  • Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman or Insomnia (preferred).

  • Exposure to version control systems such as git/GitHub.

  • Knowledge of accessibility testing standards such as WCAG.

  • Experience with performance or load testing tools.

  • Familiarity with test management platforms.

  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing techniques, and the full software development lifecycle.

  • Ability to break down problems, identify edge cases, and think critically about user behavior.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
