Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

· Perform inspection of surface preparation, coating, and painting activities in accordance with project standards.

· Verify environmental conditions (humidity, temperature, dew point) prior to coating application.

· Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as SSPC, NACE, ISO, and project specifications.

· Inspect and measure dry film thickness (DFT), wet film thickness (WFT), adhesion tests, and holiday tests.

· Review and approve coating materials, batch numbers, and technical datasheets.

· Prepare accurate daily inspection reports and maintain documentation.

· Monitor contractors’ work to ensure adherence to QC procedures and safety guidelines.

Requirement & skills:

· Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

· Minimum of (3-6) years of experience in coating/painting inspection in industrial or oil & gas projects.

· Certification such as NACE Level 1/2/3 or BGAS-CSWIP is highly preferred.

· Strong knowledge of coating systems, specifications, and inspection techniques.

· Ability to read technical drawings and project documents.

· Good communication and reporting skills.

· Strong commitment to safety and quality compliance
