Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise QA/QC and welding activities ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality plans in desalination plant projects.
  • Implement and monitor Quality Control procedures including inspection of materials and welding works.
  • Evaluate qualifications and certifications of welders and NDT technicians, specifically ASNT Level II and Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS).
  • Manage and coordinate material tracking systems for accurate identification and traceability.
  • Oversee calibration and maintenance of testing and inspection equipment.
  • Develop and maintain inspection schedules and quality documentation.
  • Identify and report non-conformities; implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and final approval of welding and related activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in QA/QC with welding works, preferably in industrial or desalination projects.
  • ASNT Level II certification and Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS) qualification mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of welding inspection, non-destructive testing (NDT), and quality control standards.
  • Proficient in managing quality plans, inspection schedules, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication, supervisory, and coordination skills.
  • Proven ability to evaluate welders' qualifications and oversee quality compliance in field conditions.
