QC Inspectors - Piping

The QC Inspector Piping is responsible for ensuring that all piping installation and fabrication activities comply with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and quality requirements. This includes inspecting materials, welds, joints, and testing procedures during various stages of construction or manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspection and quality checks on piping systems during fabrication, installation, and testing stages.
• Review and verify piping materials, weld procedures (WPS), and welder qualifications.
• Monitor fit-up, alignment, welding, and dimensional checks to ensure compliance with standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welds and joints.
• Witness and verify hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing.
• Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports and records.
• Identify non-conformities and assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and third-party inspectors.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met throughout the project.
• Participate in final inspections and handover documentation.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI, CSWIP 3.1/3.2, or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 3 5 years of experience in piping inspection in oil & gas, petrochemical, or construction projects.
• Good knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME B31.1, B31.3, API, ASTM).
• Familiarity with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods is an advantage.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to interpret P&ID, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
