Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Train and mentor junior inspectors, sharing knowledge of inspection techniques, quality standards, and industry best practices.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing support and documentation as required to demonstrate compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, records, and documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality management system requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending changes to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to resolve quality issues, identify root causes of defects, and implement corrective actions.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality control plans to understand inspection requirements and identify critical features, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Verify the calibration of inspection equipment and maintain its accuracy, ensuring all instruments are within their specified tolerances and properly documented.
- Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections, meticulously documenting findings and non-conformances using inspection software and creating comprehensive reports.
- Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems to ensure adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards, utilizing precision measuring instruments.
- Experience in Aramco projects.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Holds certifications such as Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI) from recognized quality organizations.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of industry-specific quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) for accurate measurements.
- Demonstrates expertise in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications, with a strong understanding of GD&T.
- Demonstrates physical abilities, including the capacity to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform tasks in a manufacturing environment.
- Possesses a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy, ensuring thorough and precise inspections.
