Roles & Responsibilities

The QC MEP Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing all quality control activities related to MEP works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements while supporting successful project execution and timely delivery.

Key Accountabilities

The position involves:

  • Lead and supervise the QC MEP team across all project phases to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved drawings.
  • Monitor and inspect all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works to ensure execution aligns with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures, inspection plans, and testing protocols for MEP systems.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve quality-related issues efficiently.
  • Review material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and technical documents related to MEP works.
  • Ensure all inspections, testing, and commissioning activities are completed and properly documented.
  • Identify non-conformance issues, initiate corrective/preventive actions, and follow up until closure.
  • Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure adherence to company quality standards and HSE requirements.
  • Prepare regular QA/QC reports, progress updates, and quality performance analysis for management review.
  • Support project handover activities by ensuring all quality documentation and closeout requirements are completed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 10 years of experience in QA/QC for MEP construction projects.
  • Proven experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, or large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, testing & commissioning, and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, and ISO standards.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing ITPs, method statements, and QA/QC documentation.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management/reporting systems.
