Roles & Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

  • Ensure all welding activities comply with Saudi Aramco standards (SAES, SAMSS, SAEP, SATIP).
  • Verify WPS, PQR, WQT, materials, consumables, and joint preparation before welding.
  • Monitor welding parameters, processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW), and electrode handling.
  • Perform visual inspection for root, hot pass, fill, and cap; identify weld defects and recommend corrections.
  • Coordinate and witness NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT, PMI, Hardness).
  • Review NDT results and ensure compliance with Aramco/project acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain daily welding reports, inspection records, weld maps, and QA/QC documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

Must be Saudi Aramco Approved (valid approval/SAP ID).

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

Certifications: CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 or AWS-CWI.

512 years experience in welding inspection for Oil & Gas / Refinery / Pipeline projects.

Strong knowledge of ASME, API, AWS codes, welding processes, and NDT methods.
