Roles & Responsibilities

As an QHSE Manager you will support the project to meet the requirements of the Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Management systems. You will report into the factory manager. You will support the site teams and managers through your inspections by recognizing hazards, seeking to minimize risks whilst creating, maintaining and improving the quality, health, safety and environmental standards. You will champion QHSE initiatives in the region whilst ensuring that legislation is adhered to./p>

Role Responsibilities:
1- To develop Managers & awareness and ensure Quality and HSE are an integral part of Line Management responsibilities and objectives.
2- To assist Line Management in:
- Implementing the QHSE Management System.
- Monitoring QHSE objectives.
- Liaising with local contractors, and agencies regarding QHSE.
- Assessing the local risks.
3- Generating local QHSE procedures, work instructions and checklists as required.
4- Preparing and monitoring QHSE plans that define how the QHSE Management System is implemented at location level.
5- Monitoring compliance to policies, standards and procedures.
6- Plan and assist in compliance audits and self-audits
To advise Management on corrective action required.
7- To coordinate and actively participate in the screening and QHSE training of all personnel, including contractors.
8- To keep abreast of any new documentation and training material related to QHSE and to inform management accordingly.
9- To ensure that the relevant QHSE documentation is readily available on the site.
10- To advise Management on the level of compliance of the local QHSE program with local and national requirements/regulations of the Egyptian laws.
11- To actively monitor & follow up on QHSE reports and HSE audits.
12- To support line management in investigations of failures and accidents.
13- To develop and maintain a high level of awareness among all personnel through communications, training, and promoting active involvement of employees in Quality and HSE.
14- To recommend improvements to the QHSE program.
15- To analyze Quality and HSE trends for the location.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree or master s degree in a related field such as Occupational health & safety
- Minimum of 7 years experience in the field of QHSE in the food industry including at least 2 years performing similar duties and responsibilities in the same position..
- Applicants preferred to be from 10th of Ramadan city.
- Food Manufacturing background is a must.
- NEBOSH or an equivalent certificate
