Roles & Responsibilities

Main Job Responsibilities

  • Put the QHSE Policy/Manual into implementation.
  • Monitor the overall QHSE performance in his area of responsibility and identify and execute necessary actions to improve it and ensure achieving all QHSE targets as per the annual business objectives.
  • Roll out and implement all QHSE related systems, communicate all QHSE information as per the system to enhance the QHSE awareness, and encourage participation and communicate all related concerns to management team and Head of QHSE.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and other requirements.
  • Set, communicate and test the Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP) and the people s understanding and ability to implement through conducting mock drills.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments for all facilities related activities/areas.
  • Ensure all accidents and reported hazards are investigated and proper Corrective and Preventive actions are identified, monitored and support the implementation.
  • Manage and coordinate various internal and External QHSE issues and lead the execution of the developed corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Advise on projects at design/commission/implementation to ensure all QHSE requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure targeted go lives are met.
  • Manage QHSE Budget and CAPEX execution in his area of responsibility.
  • Identify QHSE training needs for the entire team, prepare and execute training programs accordingly
  • Sponsor and support all QHSE initiatives and ensure Reward and Recognition for all employees who have contributed to the enhancement of the QHSE in the workplace.
  • Provide support to the site leadership team in driving the QHSE agenda by providing expertise.
  • Collect, ensure accuracy and report all QHSE data and KPIs in timely manner.
  • Contribute in the continual improvement of the QHSE management system

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related quality, health and safety field.

NEBOSH IGC, HACCP L3 are preferred.

Knowledge of ISO 9001, 22001, 45001, 14001 Requirements.

Knowledge of SFDA, GOSI, Labor office (H&S part) requirements.

Exposure to recognized QHSE standards.

Strong influencing skills with the ability to manage in all directions and is comfortable dealing with difficult discussions and situations.

Problem solving and strong analytical thinking.

Self-starter and able to work independently.

Excellent Planning & Organizing skills, project management & change management capability.

Assertive, firm, persistent and resilient, with excellent communication at all levels of the organization. should be able to communicate clearly and confidently on 1:1, in writing and presenting in group situations and able to put message across to wide ranging audience.

Strong and Confident team player with interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills and able to adapt to different audiences.

Ability to coach and support others to ensure requirements understood/met.

Systemize processes through developing the systems, putting them into implementation, and ensuring their sustainability.

Excellent Computer skills specially MS office programs.
