Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial support to the Deputy GM including management of internal costs.
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice based on the contract documents and industry standards documents such as methods of measurement.
  • Convene regular commercial meetings with the team and contractors.
  • Manage, report on and review claims submitted by contractors. Make recommendations for payment or rejection.
  • Oversee on-site and off-site quantity verifications and confirmation with regard to payments and variation works. Checking and verifying of all invoices from subcontractors. Maintaining a register of payments. Check materials on and off site and verify delivery and acceptance from the client’s representative for payment approval.
  • Prepare and maintain records of all contractors agreements and payments.( Subcontractors word changed to Contractors)
  • On site verification of final accounts submitted by the subcontractors and suppliers, adjusting as necessary.
  • Prepare estimates of variation works and variation submissions from contractors to be assessed and determined
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts for subcontract works.
  • Updating cost report.
  • Carry out cost estimates for alternative design solutions.
  • Drafting contractual documents including main contract documents & correspondences to contractors.
  • Assist Projects team during pre-contract stage in preparing scope of works and other documents for tender floating.
  • Attend site meetings as required and provide commercial advice as needed.
  • Coordinate with projects team on the project completion timelines.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • · Have at least 5-10 years’ experience and have excellent written & oral English language skills.
  • · Candidates must have at least 3 years’ experience in the UAE with a Consultant.
  • · Have experience in large mixed used projects
  • · Have excellent communication skills.
  • · Candidates should hold a relevant degree in quantity Surveyor.
