Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Implements the company and program policies and procedures.
- Provides timely Quality Maintenance Evaluation Program reports.
- Implement all aspects of the Safety and Quality Programs.
- Provides safety awareness education.
- Assists during mishap investigations.
- Assists the Quality Assurance Manager in Implementing the Installation HAZMAT Program to comply with Environmental Protection Programs.
- Assists Maintenance Control in the execution of the daily maintenance plan, including supervising flight line maintenance activities.
- Responsible for Deficiency and Maintenance Analysis and Data Base Management.
- Provides summaries, analyses, and other data necessary for the Site Manager to determine the quality of the overall maintenance effort.
- Recommends changes to processes and programs for the Site Manager's approval.
- Ensure Maintenance/Work Instructions and Quality Procedures reflect most current policies and procedures.
- Assists in aircraft/equipment movement and flight line foreign object prevention walks.
- Practice, implement and enforce good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
- Performs other duties and supervisory functions as assigned.
- Develops inspection, audit, and monitoring schedules to determine the condition of assigned equipment and proficiency of maintenance personnel.
- Ensures Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance.
- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Read, write, and interpret instructions, technical manuals, and/or directives necessary for the accomplishment of job assignments.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from management.
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables;
- Respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Planning and organizing.
- Indexing and organizing and alphabetizing files, material, or data.
- Comprehend and process information rapidly and accurately.
- Recognize or identify the existence of a problem as well as elements of a problem.
- Problem analysis and independent decision-making.
- Synthesize and retain information and make decisions according to standard policies and procedures
- Perform as a team member, contributing to the success of the C-130J maintenance department.
- Dependable and timely in managing assigned tasks, perform consistent quality maintenance.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- When necessary, performs other duties and supervisory functions, critical to the function of the program, and to assure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to adhere to and comply with all Kuwaiti Labor and Immigration requirements.
- Must be United States (U.S.) citizen, have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to read, write, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to obtain a United States Passport. If you currently possess a United States Passport it must have at least 24 months of time remaining before expiration.
- Must have a valid U.S. Driver s License.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a C-130 Quality Assurance role implementing COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series aviation maintenance program instructions.
- Minimum of 10 years experience with aviation maintenance procedures.
- Have a strong knowledge base of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series aviation maintenance program instruction and understand how the outlined policies and procedures apply to the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of aircraft and associated systems.
- Have a strong knowledge base of aviation maintenance programs, processes, and procedures (example: Safety, Tool Control, HAZMAT, inspection programs, administrative requirements, support equipment, calibration/torque programs & procedures).
- Must be willing to administrate, monitor, and manage maintenance programs (ex. Tool Control, HAZMAT, Central Technical Publications Library, FOD, MetCal, Compass Calibration, Electro Static Discharge, etc ) as required by local policies.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain the following required certifications/qualifications:
- Aviation Gas Free Engineering (AVGFE) certification
-Hydraulic Contamination certification
- I Level & O Level Tire & Wheel certification
- I Level Battery Maintenance certification
-Explosive handling certifications (previous qualification documentation required)
-Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) run qualification
-Applicable Support Equipment licensing
