Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction works meet the required quality standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring quality control processes, conducting inspections and tests, and reporting on compliance and non-conformities. The QC Engineer works closely with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure that quality objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for the project.
- Inspect construction activities, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct laboratory and field testing of materials, such as concrete, steel, and soil.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents for quality compliance.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Identify non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain quality reports, inspection records, and documentation.
- Coordinate with the project team and consultants regarding quality requirements and inspections.
- Participate in site meetings and provide quality-related feedback and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Assisting project managers with recommendations and cost-optimization strategies.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education / Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience, depending on the job level.
- OSHA certificate.
- Experience with testing equipment and quality documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
