Quality Control Engineer

Duties and responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain all quality system requirements, including APQP, PPAP, customer concerns, and customer visits.
• Ensure adherence to IATF 16949 standards and customer-specific requirements.
• Utilize statistical methods and tools to conduct process capability studies, gauge process stability, and implement effective Statistical Process Control (SPC) measures.
• Participate in root cause analysis on failures and actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data related to quality and process improvement functions.
• Work closely with QA labs on incoming inspections, First Article Inspections (FAIs), and handling of nonconforming materials.
• Manages calibration & testing requirements internally & externally
• Constructs and revises sampling plan and sample sizes for products inspection and incoming material.
• Prepare and present relevant quality charts to display the processes behavior and performance for production of conforming parts.
• Receive audits from customers or 3rd party audits and working on the findings and resolving them.
• Prepares and leads the Fast response meetings and document and follow up on relative action plans.
• Extract within the products development team the CTQs and the critical specifications and dimensions from technical drawings and relative standards.
• Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and certification standards.
• Manages the internal laboratory for weld cross section analysis and measurements.

Knowledge:

• Strong Knowledge for GD&T
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and familiarity with quality assurance software tools.
• Knowledge about ISO 17025

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for identifying defects and determining causes.
• Excellent communication skills for preparing detailed reports and interacting with suppliers and customers.
• Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
