Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the QC team for both factory production and site activities

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures, ITPs, and inspection checklists

  • Conduct incoming material inspections (MDF, plywood, veneer, hardware, etc.)

  • Monitor in-process quality during cutting, machining, assembly, and finishing

  • Perform final inspections before dispatch from factory

  • Ensure all products meet approved drawings, specifications, and client standards

  • Review and verify shop drawings for quality compliance

  • Coordinate with production, design, and project teams to resolve quality issues

  • Handle site inspections, installation checks, and finishing quality

  • Attend client and consultant inspections and ensure approvals

  • Raise and track NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and implement corrective actions

  • Analyze defects and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence

  • Maintain all quality documentation, reports, and inspection records

  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and company quality policies

  • Train and guide QC inspectors and production teams on quality standards and best practices

  • Ensure health & safety and quality standards are followed at site and factory

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in technical principles.

  • Holds relevant certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar, showcasing a commitment to quality management.

  • Has a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within the joinery or related industry, providing practical expertise.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications, ensuring accurate understanding.

Additional certifications (preferred):

ISO 9001 / Quality Management Systems

Internal Auditor certification

Lean / Six Sigma


  • Must have experience in:

    Factory (production QC) – materials, machining, assembly, finishing

    Site QC – installation and final inspection


  • Team handling experience (leading QC inspectors / supervisors)


  • Must have experience in the following

    Joinery factories

    Interior fit-out companies

    Furniture manufacturing companies
