Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Inspect coated fabrics during and after production for visual defects (e.g., pinholes, streaks, delamination, color variation), ensuring quality standards are met. • Perform mechanical and physical testing, including tensile strength (DIN 53354, ISO 1421), peel adhesion, tear strength (DIN 53363, ISO 4674), elongation, and shrinkage, as well as QUV accelerated weathering and UV resistance checks. • Measure coating properties such as add-on weight, thickness, and lacquer uniformity within specified tolerances; verify raw material compliance with COAs and maintain batch traceability with retained samples. • Document and report inspection results, enforce SOPs for sampling, collaborate with production on quality issues and corrective actions, and support audits, customer inspections, and third-party lab verifications.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Experience: 3+ years in quality control of coated textiles (PVC/PU/PTFE) or related materials (films, laminates, composites). • Technical Knowledge: Textile test standards (DIN/ISO/EN). • Education: Technical diploma/degree in textiles, polymers, chemistry, or quality management.
