Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the full Quality Control function, including laboratory operations, inspection teams, and documentation systems.
Oversee raw material inspection, in-process quality monitoring, and final product release.
Develop and continuously improve QC procedures and testing protocols tailored to specialized product categories.
Own and manage the HACCP system, with a strong focus on low-moisture food safety risks.
Ensure compliance with international standards such as FSSC 22000, ISO 3632, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Plan and execute internal and supplier audits, and support external audits and certifications.
Investigate quality issues and customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement CAPA initiatives.
Supervise microbiological, chemical, and physical testing (including aflatoxins, pesticide residues, heavy metals, and sensory evaluation).
Define and track quality KPIs, reporting performance insights to senior leadership.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to drive quality improvements.
Lead initiatives in allergen management, contamination prevention, and hygiene zoning.
Ensure calibration, validation, and maintenance of testing equipment and methodologies.
Promote a strong quality and food safety culture across the organization.
Desired Candidate Profile
Master s degree (preferred) or Bachelor s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Microbiology.
Strong hands-on experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within the food industry.
Proven expertise with low-moisture food products and associated risk management.
Solid background in supplier quality management and raw material qualification, particularly for agricultural commodities.
Experience with premium products (e.g., chocolate, saffron) and sensory evaluation is a strong asset.
Demonstrated success in managing audits (FSSC 22000 or equivalent) and regulatory inspections.
Previous leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop QC teams.
Advanced Food Hygiene (Level 4)
HACCP Level 3
FSSC Auditor certification or equivalent experience
PIC (Person in Charge) Level 3
