Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform field and lab tests on fresh and hardened concrete (e.g., slump, air content, temperature, compressive strength)
- Sample concrete from ready-mix trucks at job sites and batch plants
- Monitor raw materials (aggregates, cement, admixtures) for consistency and compliance
- Ensure mix designs meet project specifications and regulatory standards
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment according to ASTM and ACI standards
- Document and report test results accurately and promptly
- Communicate quality concerns to plant personnel and project teams
- Assist in troubleshooting mix issues and recommending adjustments
- Conduct audits of batch plants and suppliers to ensure quality compliance
- Support safety protocols and ensure proper handling of testing materials
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or GED (technical diploma preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in ready-mix concrete testing or construction QC ( mandatory )
- Familiarity with ASTM, ACI, and DOT standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and travel to job sites
- Valid driver s license
