Role & responsibilities
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control & Testing professional to ensure that all armored vehicles and components meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance for overseas clients. The role involves inspection, testing, documentation, and coordination with production teams to maintain compliance with international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct incoming material inspections to verify conformity with specifications, including steel plates, alloys, fasteners, and electronic components.
- Perform in-process inspections during fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly to ensure adherence to design and quality standards.
- Carry out final product inspections, including dimensional checks, visual inspection, and functional testing of armored vehicles.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Radiography (RT), or Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT) as required.
- Ensure all welds, joints, and assemblies meet WPS, quality, and safety standards.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test certificates, and quality documentation for internal and overseas client audits.
- Collaborate with production, design, and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and defense/automotive standards.
- Participate in process audits, quality improvement initiatives, and risk assessments.
- Monitor and maintain calibration of measuring instruments, gauges, and testing equipment.
- Support customer-specific testing protocols for armored vehicle certification.
Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Metallurgy, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 38 years of experience in quality control, inspection, and testing, preferably in automotive, defense, or armored vehicle manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, and gauges.
- Knowledge of NDT techniques and certifications (UT, RT, MPT, DPT) is a plus.
- Familiarity with welding, machining, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and technical specifications.
