Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Define and execute the quality engineering strategy for store and retail applications (POS, SIM, Clienteling, RFID, and Oracle Retail (RMS, RPM, RESA)).
  • Establish test automation frameworks, performance testing, and observability-driven validation for high-volume retail transactions.
  • Lead implementation of AI- and LLM-powered quality tools for intelligent defect prediction, test generation, and regression optimization.
  • Collaborate with engineering and DevOps to integrate testing within CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality delivery.
  • Oversee non-functional testing (performance, scalability, failover) for store and integration components.
  • Partner with product and business teams to define quality KPIs and ensure alignment with business outcomes.
  • Build a metrics-driven quality culture, tracking automation coverage, defect leakage, and release readiness.
  • Manage and mentor QA engineers, SDETs, and automation specialists across multiple domains.


  • Drives engineering-led quality shift-left testing, automation-first approach, and real-time observability.
  • Defines and monitors quality metrics including automation efficiency, release readiness, and defect escape rates.
  • Partners closely with engineering to ensure early defect prevention and performance optimization.


  • Leads test automation modernization and AI-enabled quality acceleration initiatives.
  • Drives adoption of continuous testing practices embedded within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Promotes data-driven insights for quality improvement and risk-based testing prioritization.


  • Strong collaboration skills with engineering, product, and release teams.
  • Mentors SDETs and QA engineers to enhance test automation, scripting, and analytical capabilities.
  • Fosters a culture of accountability, excellence, and innovation within the QE organization.

Desired Candidate Profile

1216 years of total experience, with 5+ years in quality leadership within large-scale retail or consumer technology environments.

Hands-on experience testing Store Systems (POS, SIM, Clienteling, RFID), Oracle Retail modules (RMS, RPM, RESA) and integration flows (Metl, ACE, Kong, IBM Gateway).

Expertise in automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar) and API test automation.

Proven experience in performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6).

Experience with AI/LLM-based quality tools for intelligent test case generation, code review, or anomaly detection.

Familiarity with cloud-native and microservices architectures, CI/CD, and containerized testing environments.

Strong understanding of retail application dependencies, data flows, and operational performance tuning.
