Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Quality Management System (QMS) & Compliance

  • Maintain, update, and audit the company s QMS in alignment with local and international certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, CE, SASO, and other relevant lighting standards).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external regulatory audits, certification bodies, and customer compliance evaluations.
  • Ensure all raw materials, sub-assemblies (like die-cast aluminum housings, high-efficiency optics, and drivers), and finished luminaires comply with performance and safety standards.

2. Factory Operational Quality & In-Process Control

  • Establish rigorous QC protocols across all manufacturing phases, including the Foundry/Die-Casting unit, Paint Shop, LED SMT/Assembly lines, and Electrical Panel fabrication.
  • Oversight of the 3Brothers high-quality testing laboratories to guarantee precision in photometric, environmental, thermal, and stress testing (e.g., IP rating certifications, UV exposure, and heat cycling).
  • Implement robust Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to minimize manufacturing defects, scrap rates, and rework costs.

3. Supplier Quality Assurance

  • Partner with the Procurement department to evaluate, audit, and approve local and international suppliers for electronic components, LEDs, aluminum ingots, and optics.
  • Define clear Incoming Quality Control (IQC) metrics for arriving components to prevent production bottlenecks.

4. Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead, mentor, and upskill a dedicated team of QA Engineers, QC Inspectors, and Laboratory Technicians across both factories in the 10th of Ramadan City.
  • Drive a culture of "Quality First" through continuous training programs for the factory floor workforce.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives targeted at reducing wastage and maximizing operational yield.

5. Customer Quality Resolution & Analytics

  • Oversee the evaluation of client complaints and product returns; ensure swift resolution and implement preventive measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Compile and report weekly/monthly Quality KPIs (e.g., First Pass Yield, Cost of Poor Quality, Customer Return Rates) to senior leadership.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education & Professional Certifications

  • Degree: Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering is preferred).
  • Certifications: * Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is highly desirable.
    • Lead Auditor Certification for ISO 9001:2015 is required.
    • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a strong asset.

Experience

  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 7 15 years of experience in Quality Management within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Industry Background: At least 3 5 years of direct experience in Lighting Manufacturing, Electronic Assemblies (SMT/PCB), Electrical Panels, or Appliance/Automotive manufacturing utilizing die-cast aluminum and automated assembly lines

Technical & Core Competencies

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of LED technology, photometric performance, electrical safety compliance, and environmental protection metrics (e.g., IP65/IP66/IP67 testing for outdoor and street lighting).
  • Tools: Expert knowledge of Quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, 5S).
  • Regulatory: Familiarity with MENA regional compliance boards (such as EOS in Egypt, SASO in Saudi Arabia, and Gulf Mark) and European standards (CE/RoHS).

Soft Skills & Languages

  • Languages: Native proficiency in Arabic; Excellent command of written and spoken English to interface with international suppliers and certification agencies.
