Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and develop project-specific quality training materials, presentations, and resources based on project specifications, client requirements, and international and local quality standards.
- Work closely with the QA/QC Manager to align training content with the project's Quality Management System (QMS) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Conduct engaging, hands-on training sessions for all site personnel, including new hires and existing employees.
- Provide specialized, targeted training on key quality areas, such as material handling, workmanship standards, documentation procedures, and non-conformance reporting.
- Lead toolbox talks and on-the-job training to reinforce quality standards and best practices at the point of work.
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs by evaluating trainees' understanding and skill development through tests, practical assessments, and on-site observation.
- Develop and maintain records of training attendance and evaluation results for quality documentation and audit purposes.
- Collaborate with the QA/QC team to analyze quality trends and non-conformance data to identify recurring issues and training gaps.
- Adjust and update training programs based on audit findings, performance metrics, and project requirements.
- Serve as a resource for project staff, providing ongoing guidance and mentorship on quality-related matters.
- Communicate with project managers and site supervisors to schedule training and ensure that operational needs are met.
- Liaise with external auditors or client representatives regarding training records and quality compliance.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or a significant combination of practical experience and certification.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in construction, with at least 2-3 years in a dedicated QA/QC or training role.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs to a diverse workforce.
- Deep knowledge of construction quality standards, methods, and specifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other training-related software.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, Quality Trainer certification) are highly desirable.
