Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects at various stages of development.
Conduct feasibility studies to analyze project budgets and cost implications.
Monitor project spending and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates to project managers.
Compile and maintain project cost reports, analyzing variances and providing insights for cost optimization.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to evaluate project specifications and material needs.
Manage procurement processes, including preparing and analyzing tender documents and evaluating bids from suppliers and subcontractors.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement.
Assist in resolving disputes and claims related to project costs and payment issues.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all financial activities.
Provide support during the final accounting and settlement process at the project completion stage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Quantity Survey Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, costs, and legal frameworks.
- Proficient in quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam).
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills to interpret complex data and provide accurate cost assessments.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and clients.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with local building regulations and safety standards.
