Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular cost reports to management and stakeholders.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts, variations, and claims with contractors and suppliers.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify completed work, and ensure alignment with cost projections.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to optimize project costs and identify value engineering opportunities.
- Analyze project risks and develop cost mitigation strategies to maintain financial control.
- Review and validate contractor invoices, progress payments, and final accounts.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all cost-related documentation and correspondence.
- Support the procurement process by providing cost advice and recommendations on materials and services.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout all phases of the project.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 5 years and maximum of 7 years of experience in quantity surveying and cost management within the construction or real estate sector.
- Proven track record in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and managing project budgets.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and industry regulations.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
