Quantity Surveying Engineer

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction and renovation projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine material, labor, and time requirements.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and report on cost variances throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to provide cost advice and value engineering solutions.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure the best terms and pricing.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Prepare and submit interim and final payment applications, including supporting documentation and measurements.
• Identify, assess, and manage risks related to project costs and contractual obligations.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all cost-related activities, including change orders and variations.
• Support the preparation of tender documents, bills of quantities, and procurement schedules.

• Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of proven experience in quantity surveying or construction cost engineering.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Demonstrated experience in contract administration and claims management.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
