Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying potential cost overruns.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify completed work, and ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and variations to optimize project value and minimize risks.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to provide cost advice and support decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and submit interim and final payment applications, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies in project documentation, drawings, and specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all financial transactions, correspondence, and project documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and participate in the tendering process.
  • Support the implementation of value engineering initiatives to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4 to 7 years of proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction or engineering industry, Real Estate experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing contracts, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in an office-based environment.
  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to ethical standards and continuous improvement.
