Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Quantity Surveyor – ID & Fit-Out manages all commercial and cost management activities on assigned fit-out projects from pre-contract through to final account. The role ensures accurate cost control, timely valuations, and commercial risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts for fit-out contracts.
Conduct detailed material and labour takeoffs for joinery, gypsum, ceilings, flooring, painting, and FF&E.
Prepare interim payment applications and subcontractor valuations; negotiate and agree final accounts.
Assess, value, and submit variation and change order claims to clients; manage subcontractor variation accounts.
Procure subcontractors and suppliers; prepare tender documents, analyse bids, and recommend awards.
Monitor project cost performance against budget; prepare monthly cost reports with variance analysis.
Review contracts and flag commercial risks to senior management.
Maintain records of all commercial correspondence, instructions, and approvals.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (MRICS preferred).
3–10 years of QS experience in UAE/GCC interior design and fit-out projects.
Strong knowledge of UAE fit-out market rates, material costs, and subcontractor procurement.
Proficiency in CostX, Candy, or equivalent estimating/QS software and MS Excel.
Good knowledge of FIDIC and bespoke UAE fit-out contract forms.
