Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

arsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team! We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for construction projects.

  • Analyze project costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.

  • Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure adherence to budgets.

  • Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contracts.

  • Evaluate contractor bids and provide recommendations for award.

  • Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes to ensure value for money.

  • Collaborate with the PMC team to ensure project milestones are met within budget and schedule.

  • Provide cost-related insights and recommendations during project planning and execution.

  • Assist in risk management and mitigation strategies related to project costs.

  • Manage contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.

  • Monitor variations and claims, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.

  • Prepare and submit progress reports, valuations, and final accounts.

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth communication and project delivery.

  • Provide regular updates on cost-related matters to stakeholders.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably with exposure to PMC roles.

  • Strong knowledge of cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration.

  • Familiarity with design review processes and ability to identify cost implications.

  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel, cost management tools).

  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects.

  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.

  • Certification in RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent is a plus.
