Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Race Director to lead our FPV drone racing events. If you love FPV, understand race logic, and can run a smooth competition from start to finish, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

* Manage full race schedule (practice, heats, finals)

* Operate & troubleshoot timing systems: LapRF, FPVTrackside, LiveTime

* Set formats, rules, heats, and scoring

* Brief pilots on safety, rules, and frequencies

* Oversee track setup and timing sensors

* Ensure race safety; pause/stop races when required

* Coordinate with marshals, spotters & tech support

* Maintain timeline and handle delays

* Validate results & publish leaderboards

* Liaise with organizers, sponsors & venue teams

Requirements:

* Strong knowledge of FPV racing formats (MultiGP preferred)

* Experience with FPV timing systems & basic networking

* Calm under pressure with good problem-solving skills

* Confident communicator & decision-maker

* Detail-oriented in lap counting, penalties & race flow

Desired Candidate Profile

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field

* Relevant certifications in networking, electronics, or aviation safety are a plus

* Practical FPV or RC experience can substitute formal education
