Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:
To protect, monitor, and manage the natural, cultural, and heritage assets of Mleiha National Park while ensuring visitor safety, compliance with park regulations, and the delivery of a high-quality visitor experience in alignment with environmental conservation standards and organizational objectives.

  • Ensure visitor, staff, and asset safety by identifying hazards, responding to incidents, providing first aid when required, and coordinating emergency actions according to park procedures.

  • Monitor park activities to ensure compliance with rules and policies, manage access points, address violations, and report incidents in line with organizational and legal requirements.

  • Safeguard natural habitats, wildlife, geological formations, and archaeological/heritage areas by preventing damage, reporting risks, and supporting conservation initiatives

  • Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols, inspect trails, facilities, and infrastructure, and identify safety, maintenance, and operational issues.

  • Provide clear guidance, information, and assistance to visitors, promote responsible behavior, and support a high-quality visitor experience.

  • Support crowd control, traffic management, and site operations during events, peak periods, and special activities to ensure safety and smooth visitor flow.

  • Maintain accurate patrol logs, incident reports, checklists, and daily operational records in line with standard operating procedures.

  • Participate in drills, training, and emergency response operations, and collaborate effectively with operations, security, maintenance, and external agencies.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: High school certificate or equivalent (Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Conservation, Tourism, Security, or related fields is an advantage).

Experience:

1–3 years of experience in park operations, security, outdoor recreation, conservation, or a similar field. Experience in outdoor environments, visitor management, or safety operations is preferred. Skills & Competencies:

  • Valid UAE driving license (mandatory).

  • Strong off-road and desert driving skills, with the ability to operate safely in remote and rugged terrain.

  • Knowledge of safety procedures, emergency response, and basic first aid. o Strong communication skills in English and Arabic.

  • Physical fitness and ability to work in desert, mountainous, and outdoor conditions.

  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and during events.

  • Familiarity with environmental protection, heritage site management, or eco-tourism is an advantage.


Certifications (Preferred):

  • First Aid / CPR

  • Wilderness First Aid or Outdoor Safety (if available)
