Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop accurate raw material and spare parts forecasts based on production schedules and historical usage data.
- Maintain and update material planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, reorder points) to ensure planning accuracy.
- Monitor actual consumption versus plan and adjust forecasts proactively to address deviations or production changes.
- Align raw materials planning with insulation production capacity and coordinate spare parts planning in collaboration with the project manager
- Review production schedules change regularly, adjusting material plans and forecasts to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain accurate records of material requirements, forecasts, inventory levels, and usage trends for planning analysis.
- Plan optimal inventory levels in coordination with warehouse teams to ensure efficient storage utilization, prevent excess stock, and avoid stockouts.
- Analyze usage trends to identify opportunities for improving material usage efficiency and reducing waste.
- Issue timely material requirement plans to procurement with sufficient lead times for order placement.
- Track and evaluate raw material performance (availability, adherence to plan, consumption accuracy) and report findings to planning management.
- Monitor material readiness for upcoming production orders and communicate any risks of shortages early to stakeholders.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering (or related field such as Industrial Engineering)
- 1 3 years of experience in material planning and inventory control (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
- Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
