Roles & Responsibilities

Raw Materials and Inventory Management Accounting Clerk


Inventory management

  • Ensure daily monitoring of stock movements: entries, exits, transfers and inventories.
  • Ensure regular updates to the inventory management system (ERP or internal software).
  • Monitor discrepancies between physical and theoretical stock levels, analyze anomalies and propose corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with stock managers to ensure the availability and optimal rotation of raw materials.
  • Participate in periodic inventories and stock control operations.

Inventory accounting

  • Record stock movements in accordance with accounting procedures and standards.
  • Prepare the necessary elements for inventory valuation, purchase cost calculation and accounting adjustments.
  • Verify the conformity between stock documents (receipt notes, issue notes, transfers) and accounting entries.
  • Participate in monthly and annual closings in collaboration with the accounting department.

Coordination et reporting

  • To act as the interface between the logistics department, stock managers and the accounting department.
  • Develop dashboards and reports related to stock levels, variances and raw material turnover.
  • Identify the risks of stockouts or overstocking and propose appropriate recommendations.

Am lioration continue

  • Participate in improving inventory management and control procedures.
  • Contribute to the implementation of actions aimed at reducing losses, breakages and depreciation.
  • Raise awareness among teams about good inventory management practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) in accounting, management, logistics or management control.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in inventory management and associated accounting, ideally in an industrial or production environment.
  • Good knowledge of inventory management techniques and accounting operations related to inventory.
  • Proficient in Excel and ERP inventory management software.
  • Ability to value stocks and prepare adjusting entries.
  • Rigour, organisation and methodical mind.
  • Analytical skills and ability to detect discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in coordination with several departments.
  • Autonomy, sense of responsibility and prioritization skills.
