RCM Instrument Engineer GAS Arabian Services Co. Ltd

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced RCM Instrument Engineer (Subject Matter Expert) to lead and support Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiatives for instrumentation, control, and automation systems. The role focuses on improving asset reliability, availability, and performance through structured RCM methodology in accordance with SAE JA1011 / JA1012 standards across large-scale industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities: • Lead and execute RCM studies for instrumentation and control systems in compliance with SAE JA1011 / JA1012 standards. • Apply the seven RCM questions to determine optimal maintenance strategies for instrument assets. • Develop reliability strategies to maximize performance of field instruments, analyzers, control valves, PLCs, DCS, and SIS systems. • Conduct FMEA / FMECA and RCA for instrumentation failures and functional degradations. • Analyze instrument failure data, alarms, trends, and condition monitoring inputs to improve maintenance effectiveness. • Calculate MTBF and define optimized Preventive Maintenance (PM) and calibration frequencies. • Develop and optimize maintenance plans (PMs), calibration routines, and inspection strategies to reduce downtime and lifecycle cost. • Lead RCM and FMECA workshops involving operations, maintenance, reliability, and engineering teams. • Train and mentor instrument technicians and engineers on RCM methodology and reliability best practices. • Utilize RCM software (GE APM Meridium) and CMMS systems (SAP) for reliability analysis, maintenance planning, and documentation. • Support asset health monitoring, bad actor analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives for instrumentation systems.

Required Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. • Minimum 8+ years of experience in instrumentation maintenance, reliability, or engineering, preferably in Oil & Gas or industrial environments. • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience applying RCM methodology as per SAE JA1011 / JA1012 standards. • Proven experience working on large-scale industrial or EPC projects. • Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, including field instruments, analyzers, control valves, PLCs, DCS, and SIS. • Hands-on experience with GE APM Meridium and SAP CMMS. • CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) certification is mandatory. • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Skills: • Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, or Refinery environments. • Familiarity with international standards related to instrumentation reliability and functional safety. • Ability to work in multicultural, multidisciplinary project teams.
