RCOS (Remote Control RTG)

The Remote-Control Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the AeRTG. This includes operating the system's remote-control console, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting any minor problems that may occur. The Remote-Control Operator must also be able to follow procedures and work independently and seek assistance as per process.

Always carry MIFARE ID card to access the RCOS desk.
To access the RCOS desk, a personal MIFARE ID card must be used; unauthorized access is prohibited.
At the end of the shift, take your MIFARE ID off and log off of the RCOS.
Ensure the RCOS desk functions properly and report if any damage is noticed.
Operate the AeRTG remote control console to execute the load /off load from /to TT and OTR if any AeRTG connected to the RCOS desk.
If manual intervention is required, choose the AeRTG from the list and safely operate the AeRTG.
Monitor system performance and identify any potential problems.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor system problems that are privileged as needed.
If the AeRTG connected to the desk identify the reason before executing the move.
Follow procedures and work independently and seek assistance as per process.
Coordinate with automation support staff sitting in SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) team for assistance.
Coordinate with the planning control room EC controller for assistance.
Communicate with the drivers using PA (Public Addressing) system on the RCOS desk in case of TPS (Truck positioning system) misalign.
Adhere to the hot seat change shift protocol.
When necessary, train newly hired staff members.
A proper handover at the end of each shift.
