Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a reach stacker to load, unload, and move shipping containers within a port or terminal environment, adhering strictly to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections of the reach stacker, including checking fluid levels, tires, brakes, and other critical components to ensure equipment functionality and report any discrepancies.
  • Accurately position containers, stacking them in designated areas according to specific instructions, ensuring stability and preventing damage to cargo or equipment.
  • Maintain precise records of container movements, including container numbers, locations, and any relevant details, using handheld devices or computerized systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Possession of a valid reach stacker operator certification or license is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience operating reach stackers in a port or terminal environment.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience in a specific industry, such as maritime logistics or container handling.
