Ready Mix Batching Lab Supervisor

The primary responsibility of this position is to create concrete mixes compliant with regulations and customer demands, check quality of produced concrete in relation to the mix designs and ensure delivery to customer according to specifications. Ability to fully supervise a batching plant lab and liaise with specialized lab centers essential.

• Design various ready mix concret mixes as per company and customer reuqiremetns.
• Crates tests and supervise their imlemtnation and proper documentation to test the quality of concrete, sand, aggregates cement, chemical admixture products, water, etc. and their conformance to specification.
• Excellent understanding of material (concrete, aggregates, sand, cement, water, fly ash, and chemical admixtures, water, etc..) characteristics.
• Carryout trials at sites and labs to match the performance requirements by tweaking the mix design in coordination with the Batching Plant Manager
• Supervise collection of cube samples from various batches and follow their curing/testing cycle
• Ability to communicate effectively with dispatch, batch plant operations, drivers and QC personnel.
• Regular fully documented quality control checks on stock materials and newly delivdred matertials
• Responsible for compliance with applicable environmental regulations affecting the operation of batch plant equipment
• Responsible for daily inspection of lab facilities and preparation of maintenance checklists
• Civil Engineering Degree/Technical Diploma with specialization in Geology or material Technology.
• Must follow company production and safety procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members
• English Knowledge at Graduate /Diploma Level
