Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret structural and technical drawings for rebar placement
  • Measure, cut, and bend steel bars to required dimensions using hand and power tools
  • Tie rebar securely in place using wire, pliers, and other fastening methods
  • Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment at all times
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

Personal evaluation (attitude, reliability, and work ethic) plays a bigger role than in many other trades

  • Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of construction and concrete reinforcement
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
