Job Description

Position Overviewbr>Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Receiving Clerk to join its Finance & Procurement team. The role involves ensuring efficient handling of all goods received, verifying purchase orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting the resort s procurement and accounting operations.br>

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all Central Purchasing and Inventory system procedures for receiving goods.
  • Verify that a purchase order is raised before accepting any deliveries.
  • Record and reconcile goods received with corresponding purchase orders.
  • Notify relevant departments immediately when goods are ready for collection.
  • Check invoice prices against purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Forward verified invoices and logs to the Accounts Department daily.
  • Ensure credit notes are issued and documented for any returned items.
  • Monitor delivery vehicles to maintain smooth traffic flow in the loading bay.
  • Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the Purchasing Manager.
  • Ensure food, beverages, and perishable items are promptly delivered to designated departments.
  • Maintain organized receiving logs and assist in preparing daily and monthly inventory reports.
  • Support department heads with inventory and ordering system queries.
  • Reconcile delivery notes, invoices, and receiving reports to confirm accuracy.
  • Follow Fairmont safety, hygiene, and operational standards at all times.

Candidate Requirements

  • High school diploma or associate degree; a technical qualification in logistics or accounting is a plus.
  • 1 3 years of experience in procurement, receiving, or storekeeping (preferably in hospitality).
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS Office, Outlook, and inventory management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and record-keeping skills.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial records.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.


Desired Candidate Profile
