Roles & Responsibilities
About the Position:
Wynn Al Marjan is currently seeking Reception Managers to join the resort s Food & Beverage team.
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Proactively oversee guest communication for reservations, special requests, and VIP arrangements, ensuring seamless anticipation of needs.
Review guest profiles, preferences, and histories in reservation systems to prepare the team ahead of service.
Elevate the arrival experience by welcoming guests with warmth, grace, and polished professionalism.
Ensure flawless execution of Wynn arrival rituals, grooming standards, and reception protocols.
Personally manage VIP, repeat, and high profile arrivals, ensuring recognition and seamless handover to service teams.
Oversee reservations, waitlists, and real time queue management using systems such as SevenRooms.
Balance reservations and walk ins to optimize occupancy, service flow, and guest satisfaction.
Lead, schedule, coach, and develop the reception team to embody Wynn s Four Pillars in every interaction.
Conduct daily briefings covering reservations, VIPs, special requests, and service pacing, reinforcing anticipatory service.
Ensure guests are graciously acknowledged at departure, reinforcing a lasting impression of elegance and care.
Capture guest feedback and observations in the moment, logging preferences and service recovery actions into systems.
Partner with management to support post visit follow up for VIPs, service recovery cases, and special occasions when required.
Contribute insights from guest feedback to drive continuous improvement in arrival flow, communication, and overall experience.
Desired Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing reception or front-of-house operations in a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel, or hospitality setting.
Demonstrated fluency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, employees, and management at all times.
Advanced proficiency in an additional language - such as Arabic, Russian, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, or Italian - is highly valued to enhance guest interactions and support a diverse clientele.
Background in international hospitality environments or multicultural reception teams is preferred, showcasing adaptability and global service standards.
Experience with Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star service standards and familiarity with SevenRooms is preferred.
Proven excellence in communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, essential for supervising reception employees, resolving guest concerns, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high-pressure work environment.
