Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Install, and maintain industrial refrigeration systems for meat and poultry processing facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to refrigeration equipment, including compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure refrigeration systems meet product safety and quality requirements.
- Develop and implement energy-efficient solutions to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
- Prepare technical documentation, maintenance logs, and compliance reports for internal and regulatory purposes.
- Supervise and train junior technicians and maintenance staff on refrigeration system operations and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for equipment upgrades, repairs, and installations.
- Monitor system performance using diagnostic tools and recommend improvements or replacements as needed.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-8 years of hands-on experience in industrial refrigeration systems, preferably within the food processing industry.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, components, and control systems.
- Experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of large-scale refrigeration equipment.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to food manufacturing.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic and maintenance tools for refrigeration systems.
- Willingness to work on-site and respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.
