Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) at our client hospital Jeddah operates under the Department of Neurology / Neurosciences and provides long term video EEG monitoring for adult (and in some cases paediatric) patients with complex seizure disorders.
The unit plays a key role in advanced epilepsy diagnosis and pre surgical evaluation.
Key Functions of the EMU:
- Diagnostic monitoring to differentiate epileptic seizures from non epileptic events
- Continuous video EEG monitoring (LTM) for seizure characterisation
- Pre surgical epilepsy evaluation, including refractory and drug resistant epilepsy cases
- Multidisciplinary care involving neurology, neurophysiology, nursing, and allied health teams
Clinical Scope & Patient Profile:
- Adult epilepsy cases including drug resistant epilepsy (DRE)
- Surgical work ups for epilepsy candidates

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current licensure as a professional registered nurse
Eligible for registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties
Minimum of two (2) years of current clinical nursing experience following licensure/registration in the country of origin
