Roles & Responsibilities

Unit Description: Male Medical Unit
No. Of Beds: 30
Nurse Patient Ratio: 1: 5-6 Days (depending on acuity)
1: 6 Nights

The Unit provides nursing care to male adult patients with diabetic, psychiatric, renal, cardiovascular, haematological, gastrointestinal, chronic and respiratory. Patients with HIV, hepatitis and other viral infections are also managed in this unit. Also included are hormonal deficiency symptoms and neurological patients. This patient population requires diabetic education, multiple respiratory treatments, isolation, Rai treatment and multiple blood tests. Discharge planning is an integral component of care delivery.

Current Registration/ licence as a registered nurse
Eligible for registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties
Minimum of two (2) years of current clinical nursing experience following licensure/registration in the country of origin
