Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit (Royal)

The unit provides acute and intensive care for Royal Family members in the Kingdom who:

• Respond to cardio-respiratory arrest resuscitation
• Have one or more system failures who need observation and/or active management including patients with circulatory failure requiring massive volume expansion and/or vasoactive medications and invasive monitoring
• Have respiratory failure and require supportive measures to cardiovascular diseases, internal medicine, gastroenterology, nephrology, pulmonary medicine, endocrinology, rheumatology, infectious diseases, neurosciences, pediatrics, ENT, obstetrics and gynecology, oncology and orthopedics.

Each Royal Family member may have a different need and set of expectations. Both Nursing and Protocol Services staff assist with issues that may arise from these expectations.
