D-4 is a Medical/Surgical and Maternal/Child VIP Unit. It includes 2 step-down ICU beds and provides acute and long term care for Royal Family members, high ranking government personnel, foreign diplomats and other V.I.P s of all ages within the Kingdom. Services include treatment for cardiovascular diseases, internal medicine, gastroenterology, nephrology, pulmonary medicine, endocrinology, rheumatology, infectious diseases, neurosciences, pediatrics, ENT, obstetrics and gynecology, oncology, orthopedics, ante-natal non high risk, post-natal and newborn.

No. of Beds in D-4: 38 plus D4 Nursery (max capacity 7)

The main criteria for general medical and surgical patients of all ages, post-partum and neonates admitted are based on approval by the Protocol Services in consultation with the relevant Medical/Surgical services.
