Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients with orthopedic injuries or conditions, utilizing specialized knowledge to determine the severity and nature of their ailments.
- Administer medications, including pain management and antibiotics, ensuring accurate dosages and monitoring for adverse reactions specific to orthopedic patients.
- Assist physicians during orthopedic procedures, such as casting, splinting, and surgical interventions, anticipating needs and maintaining sterile environments.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including wound management, mobility restrictions, and recognizing signs of complications specific to orthopedic recovery.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a willingness to pursue a BSN.
- Holds a current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of orthopedic conditions and treatments.
